The project is called OriHime. Its main goal is to help people with disabilities work and be less lonely. OriLab, a robotics company, started this project because they wanted to give people who have difficulty leaving their homes a way to connect with others and have a job. To solve this problem, they created a robot that people can control remotely and opened a cafe where the robots are the waiters. For example, bedridden people can control a robot from their hospital bed to serve customers in the cafe. This helps the community by giving people with disabilities jobs and allowing them to interact with others. This project is important because it helps people who often feel isolated and excluded. It also connects to my field of study, management, because it demonstrates innovative organizational practices and human resource management. OriHime shows how to effectively manage a diverse workforce, including employees with disabilities who work remotely. It highlights the importance of creating an inclusive work environment and adapting to the changing needs of the workforce. This project offers valuable lessons in leadership, motivation, and creating a positive organizational culture that values the contributions of all its members. This project is important to me personally because I believe in creating a workplace where everyone feels valued and has the opportunity to succeed. OriHime is an inspiring example of how businesses can use technology to promote social good and create a more inclusive and equitable society.

The project is called Friend Food Time (友善食光). Its main goal is to reduce food waste by promoting the sale of soon-to-expire products at a discounted price, allowing consumers to purchase food at a lower cost while helping minimize unnecessary waste. Convenience store chains like 7-Eleven and FamilyMart started this project because they wanted to address the growing issue of food waste in Taiwan, which not only harms the environment but also results in unnecessary financial losses. To solve this problem, they introduced a system where products nearing their expiration date are marked with a special label and sold at discounted prices. For example, they have implemented the "Friend Food Time" label on items like snacks, beverages, and even ready-to-eat meals that are close to their expiration date. This helps the community by offering more affordable food options to consumers, reducing food waste, and encouraging sustainable consumption practices. This project is important because it tackles the problem of food waste, which is a significant issue in many communities, contributing to environmental pollution and unnecessary consumption of resources. It also connects to my field of study, environmental science, because this project addresses sustainability by promoting responsible consumption and waste reduction, which aligns with the core principles of environmental conservation. This project is important to me personally because I am passionate about sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of waste, and seeing such initiatives in action inspires me to continue working
